Clair Wakefield, age 82, of McKeesport, died June 13, 2019, at LGAR Health & Rehab Center of Turtle Creek. Born September 10, 1936, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Wendell and Louise (Lamb) Wakefield and the husband of Joanne (Konias) Wakefield.

Clair last worked for the Xerox Co., where he was a repairman. Before that, he worked at US Steel Homestead Works. He was a US Army veteran, serving during peacetime. Clair was a member of the AMVETS Post #8 of McKeesport, White Oak American Legion Post #701, Moose Lodge 276 of Greenville and the 11th Ward Welfare Association of McKeesport. He enjoyed fishing, camping and caring for his loyal pet dog, "Bella."
In addition to his wife, Clair is also survived by his daughter, Wendy J. Wakefield of McKeesport; siblings, Barbara (Peter) Pease of Olympia, WA and Robert (Karen) Wakefield of McKeesport; also nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, William, Edith Davis, Claudia Shegan, Elaine Bartko and Cynthia.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 5 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 7 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Fr. Gregory Madeya will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
