Virginia Anne Cynkar, age 94, of McKeesport, died June 17, 2019, at Easy Living Country Estates of Hunker, PA. Born July 14, 1924, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anne (Nechor) Cynkar.
Virginia was a retired staff nurse with US Steel Corporation. She was a graduate of McKeesport High school, McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Pittsburgh with a Master's degree in Nursing Education.

An affiliate with Alpha Tau Delta Sorority, she was on the staff as an instructor in the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing. A member of the Speakers Bureau of the Hospital Council of Western PA, the National League of Nursing Education, McKeesport Hospital Nurses Alumni, University of Pittsburgh Alumni, East Hill Pitt Club, Catholic Daughters of America and Corpus Christi Parish.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Georgia Grabill of Champion, PA; nieces and nephews, William H. (Darlene) Grabill, Gary (Kathy) Grabill, John Grabill, Phillip (Beth) Kulasa, Tony Craig, Kenneth (Linda) Vukoson, Bruce (Jean) Vukoson, Jack (Vicki) Owoc, Anthony (Lyn) Walk and Jane (Daniel) Ceglars Weimer.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was also preceded in death by her siblings Stanley A. Cynkar, Alice Kulasa, Eleanor Owoc, Gaye Vukoson, and Amy Ceglarz; nephews, Bob and Regis Owoc; niece, Ruth Ann Johnson.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home and Crematory .Friends and family are welcome to celebrate a  Mass of Christian Burial  Thursday, June 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Polish Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Virginia's family would like to express how grateful they are for the compassionate care she received during her stay at Easy Living Country Estates and during her final days from Med Home Hospice.
