Charles H. Dreer, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at UPMC East. He was born, July 20, 1927 in McKeesport, a son of the late Webster and Pearl (Maurer) Dreer. Prior to his retirement, Charles was employed by General Motors Fisher Body with over 30 years of dedicated service, and a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Versailles where he served on the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, McKeesport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Clawson Dreer; son, Charles J. Dreer; daughters, Claudia O'Lear and Jodene Dreer; brothers, Ronald Dreer, Kenneth Summit and Bernard Summit. He is survived by his son, William (Denise) Dreer; daughters, Beth (Carl) DeValkeneer, Brenda (Richard) Stinner; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dreer; sister-in-law, Geraldine Dreer; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Park Baptist Church, Versailles, PA. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
