Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | September 04, 2019

Terrence Eugene Snow, most recently of McKeesport, PA, but born and raised in Clairton, PA, entered this world on February 13, 1962, to the late Irma Hunter and James Snow, Jr.   He transitioned on August 28, 2019.

Terry spent all of his formative years in Clairton, beginning his education in the Clairton School System, before finishing in Detroit, under the guidance of his sister Janet.  He leaves to mourn his partner of over 23 years, Heather Drost.  From their union was born a son, Terrence Eugene Snow, Jr.   Terry also leaves behind his firstborn, Terrence Johnson, and a daughter-in-law, LaTisha.  He is the proud grandfather of their children: Laterrin, Terri, Tanija, Terriyah, and Tru, all of Detroit, MI.  One of ten (10) children, affectionately known as The Ten Tribes of Irma, Terry is the ninth child and fifth son. His siblings are Estalita, Janet, Joseph, LaFawn, James III, Keith, Richard, Bobbie Jo, and William.  He is also mourned by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In his latter years, Terry became respected as a "Philosopher of Life," sharing keen insights and stories about the world and life as he saw it.  He also found Christ and was known to share a bible verse or insight related to his Lord and Savior.   An unrelenting supporter of the Clairton High School Football Bears, he could often be seen at their games cheering and "coaching" from the stands.  In his early years, he was a "legend" in Clairton and Allegheny County.   A friend to so many and a mentor to youngsters throughout the region, Terry will be remembered for his engaging smile, jovial personality, dapper style, and willingness to help anyone in need.
