“A Celebration of Life”

Natalie Ross Rasmussen of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, fought a courageous battle against various forms of cancer for 11 months. She was always positive about her life and never gave up. On Dec 12, 2018 Natalie was called by her Creator to lay down her life’s working tools and enter into that home of eternal rest appointed for all. Natalie is survived by her husband Jerry Rasmussen of Wisconsin Rapids, sisters; Celeste Cancilla and Rebecca Ross, brother, Larry Ross, niece and nephews, numerous cousins, and friends far and wide. She was preceded in death by her parents Angelo and Antoinette Ross. Natalie was born in McKeesport, PA on October 11, 1955 and attended school in Elizabeth, graduating from Elizabeth Forward H.S. She attended college and graduated as an RN. She worked many years at McKeesport Hospital. Following a nursing career ending accident, Natalie switched careers and became a floral designer working at JoAnn Fabrics in the craft and floral department. Natalie moved to Austin, Texas in 1997 and married Jerry in 1998. She again worked as a floral designer in Austin and later in Corpus Christi where she was Floral Design Manager. Her floral designs won several awards and her services were in demand for clients as far away as New Orleans, LA and Orlando, FL. Following a move to Wisconsin in 2006, Natalie focused her time and energies to caring for her home in Wisconsin Rapids. She loved life and especially loved her “furry kids” Milo, Sam Elliot, and Shadow Cat who were her constant companions and she spoiled them totally. Natalie is remembered fondly by many whose lives she touched. She loved, she was loved and she will be loved forever. Rest Easy my dear Natalie.

A memorial service will be held at the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home in Clairton on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1pm.
