Charlotte Waskowicz of McKeesport, passed peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Francine, on Sunday, June 5, 2016. It is with great sadness to inform her dear family and friends of her passing. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Johanna (Szymarek) Sieracki, and the beloved wife of John Waskowicz who preceded her in death. Charlotte is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Francine Waskowicz. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Bill Sharkey, Cathy Sharkey, Dolly (Nunzio) Chelli, Floyd (Darlene) Mandella, Arlene (Walt) Miscavage, Artie (Charlotte) Hartman, Carol Patik, Judy Madoff, Bob (Patience) Waskowicz and Marian Hrycyk; and many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Charlotte began her career as a telephone operator and later worked as a clerk in the engineering department for Bell Telephone, from where she retired after more than 40 years of dedicated service. She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa (Corpus Christi Parish), where she was a Christian Mother and member of the Ladies Aid Society and Catholic Daughters. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Corpus Christi Parish at 10 a.m. Father Michael Maranowski will officiate. (Per Charlotte's request, there will be no viewing). Burial will follow at St. Mary Polish Cemetery in White Oak. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity and keep Charlotte in your thoughts and prayers.
