Robert ‘Bob’ Bartolomeo, age 65, of Clairton passed away after a battle with cancer on Sunday, June 7th, 2020, with his loved ones at his side. Born September 26th, 1954 in Clairton, Bob was a wonderful soul and had a huge heart toward others. He was passionate about broadcasting, sports… especially Penn State football, loved local history, and was an advocate for animal rescue. His brothers, family, and friends will miss him very much. Bob attended Penn State University and was the varsity football Equipment Manager for Joe Paterno. He was also a member of the 1979 Sugar Bowl Champions. In his 40-year career, he worked in Washington, D.C. as managing director of affiliate relations for United Stations. Additionally, he was on-air for WMZQ, and most recently on KQV. During his radio career, Bob also worked for Unistar, Westwood One, Premiere, TRN, CNN, FNN, and CNBC. He worked closely with top talent including Dick Clark, Don Imus, Jim Rome, Mancow, and Pittsburgh’s Chuck Brinkman. Robert joins both his parents who predeceased him, George L. Bartolomeo, and Carmela (Virgona) Bartolomeo-Pholar.  He is survived by his brothers George Bartolomeo of Blue Springs, Mo., Joseph Bartolomeo of Dublin, Ohio, and John Bartolomeo of New York, N.Y.; as well as his nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) from 12 until a 2 PM service of remembrance by Rev.
