Helen J. (Donato) Tozzi, 90, of White Oak, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. She was born April 6, 1930 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (DiMonaco) Donato. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God - St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park. Helen was Founder of the McKeesport Majorette Drum and Bugle Corps. During the organization's forty years, she helped shape the lives of thousands of young men and women in the McKeesport and surrounding areas.

She is survived by her husband, Tullio Tozzi, daughters, Linda Hayward and Marie Tozzi, sister, Dolores Martin, granddaughters, Erin (Dante) Fusaro, Jennifer Hayward, Talia Thomas, Giovanna (Jessica) Parham, Jessica (Taylor Friesenhahn) Hayward, and Arielle Thomas, great-grandsons, Vincent and Walker Fusaro, and many well loved nieces, nephews, and former Drill Team Members. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Katherine DeLeo, Stella Potemra, Rose Filo, Nancy Pizzino, and Peter and Dominic Donato. Friends are welcome Thursday, Jul 2, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
