Joseph T. Golik, age 82, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at home. He was a retired steelworker at Glassport Foundry and was a former bus driver for 25 years with the Elizabeth Forward School District. He loved golfing, bowling and stock car racing, and was a member of Youghiogheny Masonic Lodge No. 583. Born January 4, 1938 in Glassport, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Sophia P. (Haupt) Golik. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis J. (Keilbach) Golik; daughters, Tammi (Harry) Opfer and Sandy Anderson; sons, Tom (Lynn) Golik and Tim (Kim) Golik; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 1-4 PM, with a brief prayer service at 2 PM with Pastor Gary Gibson. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects.
