Kathryn S. Pavlack

Kathryn S. Pavlack, age 94 of Jefferson Hills, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.  Born August 23, 1921 in Jefferson Hills, she was a daughter of the late Stephan and Anna (Szylkowska) Seleski.

A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, Kathryn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Jefferson Hills Manor, UPMC Mercy Hospital, the Jewish Home for the Aging, and as a private home care nurse around the Jefferson Hills area.  She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Pavlack, who passed away December 12, 1984, and her siblings: Frances Cheplic, Anna Marie Cherok, Elizabeth Mihal, Clara Fitterer, Helen Hurley, and Frank and William Seleski.  Kathryn is survived by her son Steven J. (Patricia) Pavlack of Greentree; her daughter Barbara A. Pavlack with whom she resided; her grandchildren Jonathan (Dee) Pavlack and Anna Marie (Kyle) Janda; her great-grandchildren Corban, Heidi, and Levi Pavlack; her brother Robert Seleski of Jefferson Hills; and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM, Friday July 1, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, and Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 11:30 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM in St. Clare of Assisi Church.  Procession and burial will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.  www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
