Kenneth P. Steiner, 80, of West Mifflin, passed away on October 18, 2020, at home.

Born in Homestead, PA on August 31, 1940, he was the son of the late Jesse & Mildred (Richards) Steiner. Ken was a retired heavy equipment operator for West Mifflin Boro and was also retired from Spinello LTD. in Aliquippa, where he manufactured underground pipe.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish.

He enjoyed planting flowers, cutting grass and repairing clocks. Ken was a very talented wood carver; he carved a large carousel horse, a mountain lion and a 7 ft. Indian.

He also carved many Disney characters & clocks. He was called “Mr. Fix-It” because he could fix anything. Ken and his wife spent many hours riding on the bike trail in the area and Ohiopyle and enjoyed spending time at his cabin.

He was the beloved husband of 45 years to Marlanna (Burkett) Abraham Steiner; father of Clint (Renee) Steiner of New Derry, and Rebecca Salay of Duquesne; grandfather of Morgan (Mike) Bodnar; brother of Pete (late Edie) Steiner of Herminie, Joyce (Tom) Kushner of West Mifflin, Terry (Debbie) Steiner of West Mifflin, Jerry (Anne) Steiner of West Mifflin, Patrick (Mary) Steiner of Clairton, and Larry Steiner of Arona. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, where a blessing service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Michael Conway officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jubilee Soup Kitchen or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
