Charles R. Ursiny, age 97, of Coulter, died October 20, 2020, at home.  Born March 12, 1923, in Braddock, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Shepherd) Ursiny and the loving husband of Erda (Reinhart) Ursiny for 73 years.

 Charles was a World War II Army Veteran and retired from Champion Tool and Die as a machinist.  He loved to be outdoors, whether it was sitting on his porch bird watching or tending to his garden.  He was a life long gardener and shared crops with both his family and neighbors.  He will be remembered for his sweet, kind, and sharp wit.
In addition to his wife Erda, he is survived by children, Linda (Edward "Butch") Robertson, Joan Driscoll, Grace Ventura, Nancy (Robert) Reed, Charles (Laurie) Ursiny, Jr., Colleen Ursiny, Lisa (Dave Gibb) Good and Edward (Kimberly) Ursiny; 22 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister, Ida Grissom, and many nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by eight siblings, and a daughter, Evelyn Layton.  
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 10 a.m., at Christ United Methodist Church of North Huntingdon.  Burial will follow at Coulter Cemetery.
