He was the husband of the late Josephine (Kozak) Wentroble and the late Patricia Grace (Valicenti) Wentroble. Joe was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish- St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak. and the White Oak American Legion. He was a retired machinist for Westinghouse in Trafford and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Buddy was a loyal fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. He enjoyed his daily walks, visits to the diner, church, Target, and Cathy's house, as well as telling Alexa to play his favorite tunes. He never missed a beat, not even through the pandemic. His daily visits, we learned, were "to check and make sure everyone was ok." His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were blessed to have his love and he will be greatly missed. While his legacy, he said, would be his family, he will be remembered for reminding us, "Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice." When he went home each evening, he would call us to tell us, "The eagle has landed" and now I believe the eagle is soaring. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine (Fred) Ott of Irwin, son, Dario (Debra) Rischia of Fort Lauderdale, FL, grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon Satterwhite), and Olivia Ott and Christian Rischia, great-grandchildren, Jordan and Lily Satterwhite, sister, Kathleen Brecko of Duquesne, and many nieces and nephews.
