Marie G. Cecchini, 93, of Greenock, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. She was born June 9, 1927 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen J. (Jobe) Carney.  Marie was the wife of the late Emidio G. Cecchini, who passed away January 11, 1978. She was a longtime member of Mary, Mother of God, Corpus Christi Site. She was active in politics her whole life and was a committee woman for McKeesport for several years.  She worked as a magistrate secretary in McKeesport office for 25 years, was an avid bingo player and loved the casino.  Marie loved to go out to eat, go dancing and listening to music, her favorite songs were "All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie and "In The Mood" by Glen Miller.

She taught dance at the former Arthur Murray Dancing School in McKeesport when she was 20 years old. Most importantly she loved her family more than life.  She is survived by daughters, Joy (the late Dennis) Mathe of White Oak and Theresa (the late Richard) Cipicchio of Versailles, son, Joseph A. Cecchini of Greenock, with whom she resided, grandchildren, Dena (Tony) Pugliano, Dennis L. "Denny" (Jessica) Mathe, Carla (Heath) Barrows, Richard A. "Ricky" Cipicchio, Dia Lynn Cipicchio, Perry M. Cipicchio and Chance J. Cipicchio, great-grandchildren, Mylee and Nico Pugliano, Hannah Burrows, Marena Mathe and Camryn Noll.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sons, Dennis "Denny" Cecchini and Daryl E. Cecchini and her grandson, Joseph C. Cecchini. Friends are welcome from Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED) at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, (412) 672-6322 Troy J.
