Madeline M. Katko, 94, of Port Vue, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 27, 1926 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (Romano) Marinello. She was the wife of the late John C. "Sonny" Katko who passed away July 10, 1995.

 She was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene Church in Liberty Boro, Port Vue Senior Citizens, and the Port Vue Women's Club. She volunteered at the former St. Joseph's School Cafeteria and any events at St. Joseph Church and School. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Joseph Church. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School. Madeline was a loving wife, mother and doting grandmother. She is survived by her sons,  David Katko of Port Vue, John (Suzan) Katko of Carolina Beach, NC, and Gary (Lori) Katko of North Huntingdon, grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Basnight and Jessica (Brian) Bruneau of Wilmington, NC, Benjamin (Belinda) Katko of Savannah, GA and Nicholas (Katherine) Katko of Pittsburgh, great-grandchildren, Rori DiLiscia, Liam Bruneau, and Henry Katko, sister, Amelia Boutwell of White Oak, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, Anthony Eremia, sister-in-law, Margaret Marinello, brother-in-law/sister-in-law, Robert and Jane Katko, and sister-in-law, Wilma Katko. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Marinello and sister, Frances Eremia.  " Mom, You have given so much of yourself over the years that your family was always taken care of ! Your thoughtfulness, your caring and your love and prayers have given all of us Strength through the years ! We are all Blessed to have you in our lives ! Love you today and every day ! Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 9:30 am at Saints Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene Church, Liberty.
