Chester K. Stone, Sr., age 76, of McKeesport, formerly of Lincoln Borough died July 14, 2021, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born September 7, 1944, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William, Sr. and Florence (Burchell) Stone.

Chester retired from US Steel, where he was a welder. He began his career at National Tube Works and retired from Irvin Works. Chester was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was also a welding instructor for the Army.  He was awarded the Golden Gloves Boxing Champion of 1963. Chester played semi-pro football, where he was known as the "Claw." He was also known as "Mr. Football" in his high school years. Chester enjoyed working, fishing, and enjoying a toast with friends.

He is survived by his son, Shane L., Sr. (Talia Manning) Stone of McKeesport; grandchildren, Chester Stone, III, Lacey Washowich, Remi Stone, and Shane Stone, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Chester, IV, and Olivia; sister, Kathy (David) Chandler of Chippewa; also nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Christina (Baldosky) Stone; son, Chester Stone, Jr.; daughter, Chrysta Stone; brother, William Stone; and sister, Florence Stone.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Burial and military honors will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2:30 p.m.
