Barbara Ann (Howell) Sturni, 70, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021. She was born July 17, 1951 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Dorothy (Carpenter) Howell of Elizabeth Township and the late Herbert Kees Howell who passed away September 30, 2017. She was the wife of the late Wade Rader Sturni who passed away August 10, 2009. Barbara was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star Clairton Chapter 316 and the D.A.R.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Donald C. (Sharon) McGowan, Jr., and grandchildren, Serena, Olivia and Bodi McGowan of Fredericksburg, VA, sisters, Diane Lynn (Jay) McCarty of Monongahela, Marilou K. (Robert) Scerrato of NJ., and FL., and Norma Jean (Brad Burd) of Elizabeth Township, and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Friday, December 17, 2021 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
