Katie Mary Ann Maringo, 40, of Donora, lost her courageous battle with numerous illnesses on March 2, 2022 and is no longer in pain or suffering. She was born November 17, 1981 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Frank and Bonnie M. (Arnold) Maringo of North Versailles. Katie was a former member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church and had previously worked for Petco and Brize's Kennels. She had a special love for animals. Katie enjoyed making jewelry for her friends and family. She had a love of music, she had just got a purple guitar and amp for her last birthday, that had brought her so much joy. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Katie was a kind, caring and compassionate person who will be very missed.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, who she looked up to, Lonnie (Chrissy Merling) Maringo of Elizabeth, nephews, Isaac and Jaxon Maringo, uncle and aunt, Rick and Carol Maringo, aunt, Judy (the late John) Waskowicz, numerous cousins and her beloved dogs, Odie and Daisy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank J. and Dorothy Maringo, Elmer and Mary Ann Arnold and her beloved cat, Lilly. Visitation and services are private.
