Elbert Chad West Gaiard Griffin, 34, of McKeesport, passed away on February 25, 2022, in McKeesport, PA. Visitation was held at Potter's House Ministries on Saturday, March 5, 2022.  Funeral services followed the viewing with Apostle Otis L. Carswell of Potter's House Ministries officiating.

Chad was born in Pittsburgh, PA at West Penn Hospital to Christine Gaiard and Elbert Massie on January 22, 1988. He went to high school in McKeesport Area School District and graduated in 2006. He went on to study early childhood education. He worked as an Assistant Group Supervisor for Don't Worry Childcare Center for over ten years. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, going to church, and mentoring the youth. Chad is preceded in death by his aunt, Virginia Jackson, uncle, James Hill, Sr., cousin, Nancy Griffin, best friend, Sasha Lynn, and close friend, Sheena Rivers. Chad Gaiard is survived by his mother, Christine Gaiard of McKeesport, sister, Lakeisha Gaiard of McKeesport, favorite niece, Nadirah Valentine of McKeesport, and a great-niece, Nahlani Valentine and a large amount of friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, they can be sent to Cash App $keigai or mailed to 401 Elm Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Elmer L. Herman Funeral Home, Potter's House Ministries, the staff at Don't Worry Childcare Center, and his many friends.
