Irene B. Reitz, age 82, of White Oak, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016, at her residence. Born May 30, 1934 in Cumberland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lander and Josephine Elizabeth (Lonzo) Fleming, and loving wife of the late Larry V. Reitz, Sr. In her younger years, Irene worked at the McKeesport Eat'n Park as a car-hop for many years. She later went on to work for King's Restaurant as well as a security guard in Pittsburgh, and most recently worked at the Alliance Christian Child Care. She enjoyed going to church at the Glassport Assembly of God where she was a Sunday school teacher and Royal Ranger. In her free time she enjoyed volunteering at Cornerstone TV, playing Yahtzee and spending time with her faithful dog, Hanna. Irene is survived by her children; Raymond Reitz, Cindy Palmer, Karen Penn, and Irene (Daniel) Brieck; Grandchildren, Chasity (Jeff) Bache, Mandy (Adam) Wagner, Nina (Greg) Plumb, Marty Joe Penn, Daniel (Darcy) Brieck Jr., and Shane Reitz; four great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry V. Reitz, Jr., and her siblings; Ethel, Jean, Mary, Elizabeth, William, and John. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
