George W. Croushore, 75, of White Oak, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at his residence in Redstone Highlands North Huntingdon Senior Living Campus. Born in Greensburg, July 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Jack T. Croushore, and Emma Jane (Hunter) Croushore. His late wife, Bernice Bohn Croushore, passed in 2020. He is survived by two daughters; Jennifer (Gary) Schafer of Jefferson Hills and Rebecca (Phillip) Cicco of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren; his brother Jack (Linda) Croushore of White Oak; brother-in-law Earl Bohn of Ben Avon; and sister-in-law Helen Amanda Bohn of North Huntingdon. A memorial service for George will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 2pm at McKeesport Presbyterian Church, 1510 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132 with the Rev. Michael Stanton officiating. George donated much of his life to helping others. He was an active member of McKeesport Presbyterian Church, on both Session and Finance committees, and part of the Men's Association. A graduate of Waynesburg University, George spent over 35 years of his accounting career with the Consolidated Natural Gas Company (PNG). He spent many years working as a loan officer for the Consolidated Federal Credit Union. He was a member of the White Oak Borough and Municipal Authorities, serving his local community as a Board Member. He was an avid historian, and loved reading, specifically the largest history books he could find. He had a natural green thumb and was able to nurse any plant back to life. He took pride in his vegetable garden each year, and carried that joy with him to Redstone, starting a garden club. He lent his support to anyone in need, whether it was a heartfelt discussion, or a helping hand. Family and friends loved him deeply and grieve his loss, but know he is at peace and reunited with his beloved wife Bernice. The family suggests contributions in his honor to McKeesport Presbyterian Church, 1510 Versailles Avenue, McKeesport, PA 15132.
