Donald L. Brannon, age 85, of Lincoln Boro, formerly of McKeesport, died July 30, 2022, at Southwestern nursing home. Born February 5, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he is the son of the; late Harry and Catherine (Robertson) Brannon and the husband of the living Janet (Thompson) Brannon.
Donald served in the United States Navy during peacetime . He retired from the McKeesport Connecting Railroad, where he started as a brakeman and finished as an engineer. Donald was a member of the Park Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, doing yard work, tinkering on cars, and building things with his hands. In addition to his wife, survivors include children; Don Brannon of Lincoln Boro, Tammy (the late Russell) Forsythe of Lincoln Boro, Pamela Delsignore of Greenock, and Janet (Richard) Gabonay of West Newton, grandchildren; David, Matthew, Leah, Joshua, Rachel, Daniel, Rebecca, Ashley, Andrea, Zachary, and Megan; 22 great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his parents and all 12 siblings.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
