Robert E. Danforth, known to friends and family simply as Bob, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 22, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on October 6, 1970, in McKeesport, PA, he was the beloved son of Barbara (Jeffrey) Held and the late Robert E. Danforth.
A proud graduate of McKeesport High School and the former Vale Tech Vocational School, Bob earned a diploma in automotive technology. He spent his working years in roles that reflected his passion for mechanics and teamwork, including his time at Ingram Barge Company in the marine transport division and as the manager of Jiffy Lube in Pittsburgh.
Bob was a true outdoorsman at heart. Whether it was fishing, hunting, or boating, he loved being out in nature. A dedicated sports fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his Pittsburgh teams. His greatest joy came from coaching and playing baseball with his boys, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Bob is survived by a community of friends who will remember him for his warm spirit and personality.

Mark James Lucot, age 71, of Newell, WV, formerly of Glassport, PA, died April 11, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born August 3, 1954, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Jerome and Dolores (Bevin) Lucot.

Mark dedicated many years of his life to his work as a heavy machine operator, earning the respect and admiration of those he worked alongside. He had a love for the great outdoors, often spending weekends camping and enjoying nature. Mark had a special talent for cooking, particularly when it came to barbecuing, bringing families and friends together around the grill for memorable gatherings.

Brenda Joyce Donelson, one day after Resurrection Sunday, April 6, 2026, Jesus in His infinite wisdom called Brenda Joyce home to eternal peace.

Brenda Joyce Donelson, 64, was born on October 11, 1961, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Sadie Ruth Donelson.

She was a proud 1979 graduate of McKeesport Senior High School. Brenda gave birth to her beloved son, Darius Maurice Donelson (born February 6, 1992), who was truly her pride and joy. She was also blessed with her grandson, Darius Donelson Jr. ( born April 5, 2019), who brought tremendous joy to her life. Brenda was known as a hard-working, dedicated woman, often described as a workaholic. She worked at McKeesport Hospital, the Marriott Hotel, and later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating her own cleaning business. She was also known as an exceptional cook, with her famous lasagna being a favorite among family and friends. Most importantly, Brenda was a born-again servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and an active member of Trinity Church of God in Christ, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board. Through her cleaning business, she also lovingly helped maintain the church under the leadership of Bishop James M. Foster. Born on November 21, 1956, Kathleen was a cherished daughter of the late Albert and Henrietta Pearl (Huffstickle) DiBattista and the beloved wife of Elmer D. Crouch, Jr.

Kathleen was not just known as a devoted wife; she was also the spirited owner of the former Elmo's Place of Tenth Ward. Her love for life shone through in everything she did. From enjoying music and dancing to spending beautiful days boating and taking motorcycle rides, Kathleen approached each moment with joy and enthusiasm. She always enjoyed raising a glass with friends, creating countless memories and bonds that will be dearly missed.

Andrew J. Lazar, age 81, of Port Vue, died March 26, 2026, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born July 24, 1944, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Bernard J. and Helen (Zalac) Lazar.

Andrew retired from Tyggart Steel after many years of dedicated service. He also contributed to the local community through his work at The Daily News in McKeesport. A devoted member of the Sacred Heart Church of McKeesport, Andrew found solace in his faith, which provided him comfort and guidance throughout his life. He had a deep appreciation for the music of the 50s and 60s, and often reminisced about the joy those melodies brought him.

Andrew is survived by his sister, Patricia Ann Smith of Port Vue; niece, Michele Ann Smith of Port Vue; nephew, Jeffrey Thomas of Port Vue; and good friend, Wesley McNeils.

Ronald E. Cucchi went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 22, 2026 in the comfort of his own home. Born on March 31, 1939, Ron attended the University of Miami in Florida, where he played collegiate baseball. He loved to polka dance, where he met his wife, Mary Lou. Ron was an avid scratch golfer, loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins, camping at Scottyland Campground, and thoroughly enjoyed yardwork - he always had an immaculate yard. He was also a longtime member of the Boston Vets.

A loving husband of 51 years and a loving and caring father, Ron was friendly to everyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He adored his children and grandchildren, who fondly referred to him as Pap Pap.

Joyce dedicated herself to her work as a bank teller before transitioning to a rewarding career in retail, where her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others shone through.

As an active member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, Joyce found joy in her faith and community. She was also a cherished member of the former Christian Mothers, where she connected with other women who shared her passions and values.

She had a passion for playing bingo, delighting not only in the game but also in the camaraderie of her fellow players. She often spent her time at the community center in Whitehall and Olympia in McKeesport, where she forged friendships and created lasting memories.

An outdoorsman, Walter enjoyed hunting and spending time in nature. He was a proud member of the Clairton Anglers Club, where he could often be seen cruising on his golf cart with friends.

Born and raised in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Jason graduated from McKeesport Area High School in 1994. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998. His professional journey led him to Schneider Downs, where he served as a finance manager and ultimately achieved the respected designation of partner.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jason was a passionate traveler, often taking trips with Brandon to visit his brother, Danny, in Cincinnati and to explore cities such as Cleveland and Chicago. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including trips to the beach in Maryland. A true heavy metal enthusiast, Jason shared unforgettable moments with Brandon at concerts, with Metallica among their shared favorites.

She was also passionate about arts and crafts, using her creativity to bring joy to those around her. Each holiday, her porch would bloom with festive decorations, showcasing her joyful, generous nature and inviting smiles from all who passed by.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Tom (Amanda) Baker, Mark Baker, and Melody Wilson; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
