James E. Kalkbrenner, of East McKessport, peacefully passed on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the age of 87. James was the father of Marcia (Dave) Abel; Adorin grandfather of Matthew Abel, Sara (Allen) Forsythe, Ranae Kalkbrenner, Dustin (Amber) Kalkbrenner, Micheal Abel; great-grandfather of Grace, Braelynn, Brody, Benjamin, Levi, and Melody. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph and Ray Kalkbrenner, and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Mathilda Kalkbrenner, his  wife, Helen Kalkbrenner, son, Gary (surviving Lorrie) Kalkbrenner, grandson, Michael Abel, and sister, Laverne Little.
