William “Bill” J. Forbes, age 71, formerly of Ruffsdale, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 27, 2023, with his wife of nearly 51 years by his side at Transitions Healthcare in North Huntingdon. Born in McKeesport to the late Cletus Forbes and Grace Burchell, Bill was one of three children. Bill is a graduate of Norwin High School and would eventually further his career by becoming a civil engineer and retiring as owner of Forbes Consulting. Bill’s love for his family was evident to those around him and he was known for being a proud and loyal husband and father. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar, gun smithing, and lived to hunt and enjoy the outdoors. Bill’s close friends, like Mike (Suzi) Trimboli, were held very near and dear to his heart and his appreciation for them should not be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters Bonnie Lee Forbes Blake and Carol Ann Dube. He is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Melanie Forbes, and daughter Ashley Forbes (Mike Hart). His family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the staff at Transitions North Huntingdon for their care and support.
