Charles Patrick “Pat” Riley, age 66, of Liberty Borough, died on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on December 22, 1956 and is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luke Riley. He proudly served in the United States Army, Special Forces Groups for 16 years, where he was involved in numerous combat missions. He was a pathfinder and learned crime scene investigations skills while in the military. He later retired as a police officer, where he served many different communities. Charles was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, as well as a former member of the Freemasons. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He also played football in high school and enjoyed watching it all his life. He was a true lover of music, had own band at one time, and wrote a top 10 song when he was 17 years old.

Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley Magiske Riley; and stepdaughter, Tracy Magiske of Port Vue.

A family burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. Arrangements are being handled by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
