Gary Trbovich, age 68, of McKeesport, died on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on September 3, 1955 and is the son of the late Nicholas and Dorothy Kusic Trbovich. He retired as a maintenance director after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport and its Men’s Club. Gary served as an officer for the Junior Tamburitzans of Duquesne, as well as performing with the Balkan Dancers in his younger days. He was deeply engrained in Serbian culture from his church to its music and foods. Gary was an avid gardener and an “all Pittsburgh sport team fanatic”. The true lights of his life were his family, Kumovi, and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife, Michelle Zajicek Trbovich; son, Alexander C. (Stephani McKillop) Trbovich of Elizabeth Twp; cousins, Melvin Evanovich; Mylene Zager; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (there will be a Mali Pomen Service at 7:00 p.m.). Burial Service officiated by the Very Rev. Stavropher Stevan G. Rocknage will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 901 Hartman Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Burial will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
