Beatrice P. "Bea" Kifer, 92, of Glassport, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. She was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Vindex, Md., to the late Howard and Lulu Simms Knox. Bea was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Kifer, who passed away in 1981.
She is survived by daughter, Doris (Roy) Williams, of Glassport; sons, Arthur Kifer, of Port Vue, Lloyd D. (Noreen) Kifer, of Massillon, Ohio, Howard B. (Carol) Kifer, of Glassport, Paul (Penny) Kifer, of Port Vue, and Victor (Debbie) Kifer, of West Mifflin; brother, Alvin Knox, of McKeesport; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Bea was preceded in death by daughter, Suzanne Kifer; brothers, Albert, Harold, Howard and "Pod" Knox; sisters, Dorothy and Nellie Bray. She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church in North Versailles, where she also sang in the choir and loved knitting and crocheting. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave., Glassport, PA 15045. Service will take place 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment will follow service at Round Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com.
