Brian K. Heyz I, 60, of North Huntingdon, died Monday December 25, 2023, at home. He was born December 21, 1963, in McKeesport, a son of the late Bert L. and Corrine (Dvorsky) Heyz. Brian was semi-retired from working in the construction industry as a union carpenter. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1982 and was a member of Shidle Lodge, No. 601, Free and Accepted Masons, Irwin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending hours in his garden, watching wildlife from his porch, and weekend trips riding his quad. He is survived by his wife Beth (Trout) Heyz; his sons Brian K. (Savannah) Heyz II of Texas and Brandon K. (Caitlin) Heyz of Georgia; step-son Jeremy Waugaman; grandchildren Nova, Maddox, Tyler, and Brody; a brother Russell “Russ” Heyz of North Huntingdon; a sister Donnell (Tad) Minerva and niece Corrine of Jeannette; his mother-in law, Mary Trout; and other numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday December 29 at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday December 30. Interment will follow in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Trauger.
