Sandra “Sandy” S. (Magyar) Maguire, age 81, of North Versailles, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born November 2, 1942 in Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Anne (Hren) Magyar. She was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport. She worked as a bank teller for over 15 years at Equibank in McKeesport. She loved to be outside, gardening and planting flowers, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Jack Magyar; and sister Shirley Magyar. She is survived by her husband of over 57 years Gregory “Mickey” H. Maguire; children Colleen (Fiancé Doug Worrall) Yester of White Oak and James (Jennifer) Maguire of Plum; grandchildren Taylor Mari (Jimmy) Young, Erin Maguire, Kaylie Shae Yester, Kelly Maguire, Shannon Maguire and Ryan Maguire; and brother William “Whitey” Magyar. Friends and family were received at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Mary Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
