Constance Baczkowski Noll

Connie, as she was known to friends and family, graduated from McKeesport Area High School in 1956 and soon went on to work for Bettis Laboratory as a computer programmer utilizing Fortran and computer punch cards. In 1959 she married Joseph Noll, who later opened Clairton Auto Parts where Connie managed the books on weekends.

Though she was always a voracious reader (her brother Walter enjoyed retelling his children about how he used to tease his older sister by hiding her most prized possessions: Her books) and a top student in school, she waited until the 1970s to put herself through college, working days at Bettis and studying nights at the University of Pittsburgh, from which she graduated in 1976. She immediately continued her academic pursuits at the University of Pittsburgh Law School, graduating in 1980 and passing the bar exam to be a lawyer.

Connie continued working at Bettis until 1986 when she retired to take care of her mother in her home. After her mother passed, Connie hung out her shingle as a solo attorney with an office in Pittsburgh before moving the office to her hometown of White Oak. Though she lived most of her life in White Oak, she always celebrated Mass on Sundays at Polish Catholic churches in McKeesport.

Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Joe; her parents, Walter and Esther Murzyn Baczkowski, and her brother Walter Baczkowski. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 2701 Kelly Street, White Oak, PA 15131. A burial will follow.
