William Harvey Bryer, age 94, of West Mifflin, PA, died on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born in McKeesport, PA on December 26, 1929 and was the son of the late Henry and Matilda Noll Bryer. William proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later retired at the age of fifty-three from US Steel Clairton Works after thirty-five years of service. He enjoyed golfing and cooking, while being nicknamed, “Master Microwave Cooker”.

William is survived by his children, William Henry (Amy) Bryer; David Allen Bryer; grandchildren, William D. Bryer; Arielle (Ryan) Maffitt; great-granddaughter, Elaina Maffitt; and girlfriend, Doreen Cameron.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his six siblings.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s German Cemetery in McKeesport, PA.
