Jean A. Capristo, age 84, of Duquesne, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Riverside Health and Rehab Center. Born in McKeesport on February 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Dubyak) Petriske. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish and former member of Holy Name Church. She enjoyed walking.

Jean was the wife of the late Edward Capristo; mother of Edward R. “Rocky” (Patti) Capristo of Newark, DE and Joseph D. “Dan” Capristo of Duquesne; grandmother of Katie Capristo; sister of Caroline Cyrus of Penn Hills, Florence (late William) Haley of North Huntingdon, Rose (Nick) Pisciottano of Eighty Four, PA, late Geraldine (late John) Shomo, late Charlotte (late Joe) Napoli, late George “Roach” Petriske and late Michael “Cookie” Petriske.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9-11:00 a.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. A Blessing Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Thomas Burke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
