James “AK” “Jimmy” Andrew McCusker, 39, of McKeesport passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his home. He was born in McKeesport on June 5, 1985, to the late Alan Keith Thomas and Amy Jo Thomas. James was the loving partner of Crystal O'Donnelly. He is survived by his mother Amy Jo Thomas of Greensburg, children Mariah (Andrew Smith) McCusker of Greensburg, Aaron Keith McCusker of Greensburg, Andrew James McCusker of McKeesport, Levi James McCusker of McKeesport, siblings Marie (Kavin Smith) McCusker of Clairton, Hugh Daniel McCusker, Jr. of Slippery Rock, Brian Alan Thomas of Greensburg, and niece Miranda McCusker. James was preceded in death by brother Daniel Howard McCusker and step-father Alan Keith Thomas. James once received an award from the President of the United States while in Junior High for his outstanding work. He enjoyed fixing things and working on cars, legos, listening to TuPac, and he enjoyed working for Jeff Sorick Heating and Cooling. Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs.
