Sheila Ann Staley, age 81, of McKeesport, formerly of White Oak, died March 25, 2025, at Montefiore Hospital. Born December 22, 1943, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John "Chick" and Eileen Lindberg and the wife of the late Delwyn Staley.
Sheila was a sweet individual whose kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life-Sunday visits with family, reliving treasured memories while driving through old neighborhoods, and stopping for ice cream along the way. A devout Catholic, Sheila regularly attended Mass and participated in the rosary, finding comfort and strength in her faith. She embraced life with a spirit of joy evident in her love for crafts, Wii bowling, and the camaraderie of bingo nights. Sheila will be fondly remembered for her infectious smile, her gentle giggles, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.
Sheila is survived by her son, John Gomez of McKeesport; daughter, Patricia "Patty" (Sonny Bowling) Staley of McKeesport; grandchildren, Jessica Gomez, Samantha Burns, Dominic Bowling, Alexander Bowling, and Maxwell Bowling. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Lindberg; and her grandson, Brandon Bowling.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com. Service details will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Sheila's family.
