With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Alberta Bell, who was called home on Monday, March 31, 2025. Born on September 25, 1928, in Luverne, Alabama, Alberta was the cherished daughter of Martha Garner and Abram
Garner Sr. At just 17 years old, she married the love of her life, Hubert Bell,
and together they built an extraordinary legacy, raising 15 beloved children. She was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love-a mother whose devotion knew no bounds.
Alberta's journey was marked by resilience and an unshakable faith in God. After raising her children, she pursued her education, earning her high school diploma before furthering her studies at Allegheny County Community College. Her determination to learn and grow was an inspiration to all who knew her.
A woman of deep faith, Alberta found peace and joy in singing gospel music, a passion that kept her spirit lifted and her heart close to God. She also had a profound love for reading, often gathering her children to share stories that filled their home with warmth and wisdom.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving children: Betty Bell Ferg (Roger Ferg), Dorothy Ann Bell, Hubert Jr. Bell, Lawrence Bell, Michael Bell, Arthur Bell, Linda Bell, David Bell, Valerie Bell, Timothy Bell, Tyrone Bell, and Curtis Bell.
She is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved children Wilbert Bell, Jeffery Bell, and Bobby Ray Bell.
Alberta's love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she was blessed with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her spirit and wisdom into the future.
Her presence, her songs, and her unwavering love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she may have departed from this world, her light will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 11 from 10 a.m. until time of going home service at Noon, at Trinity Church of God in Christ, 2216 Jenny Lind St, McKeesport, PA.
