Sarah Jane Diecks Aubrey, 97, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was born March 14,1928 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and spent most of her life in the Greater Pittsburgh area. She married Alfred Aubrey on February

14, 1949. Together, they built a life and a family over the course of their 65 years of marriage before his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Gertrude Diecks; her siblings Ernest, Don, and LaRue; and her son-in-law, Robby King. Sarah is survived by her brother, Russell; three sons: Allan (Ruth), Rob (Theresa), and Rich (Sheri); four daughters: Jan Westfall (Marv), Nancy Miller (Carl), Laurie Steiner (Randy), and Christy King; 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Throughout her years, she was an active member in numerous Christian Churches, serving as a teacher, choir director, and minister’s wife. She was frequently involved in Vacation Bible School, church camp, and other

ministries of the church. She loved to bake and specialized in apple pies and cookies. She was also an excellent seamstress. The family will be gathering for a private celebration of her life, and interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Camp Christian, 472 Killarney Road, Mill Run, PA 15464.
