Carrie “Bootie” Ruth List, age 73, of McKeesport, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Aliquippa, PA, on October 18, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Nadine A. Freeman Mohlman. She was the wife of the late Richard List. Carrie retired as a clerical supervisor after thirty-two years for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Some of her favorite activities included playing bingo, poker, and the thrill of scratch-off lottery tickets. She also loved spending time with her family, especially at Canadohta Lake. She enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Carrie is survived by her children, Jeffery (Bobbie) List of McKeesport, PA; Sherry (Bob) Swauger of McKeesport, PA; Sheila (John, Jr.) Haut of North Huntingdon, PA; Beverly (Dave Tresky) Jones of McKeesport, PA; grandchildren, Courtney (Nick Perreault) List; Danielle List; Blake Swauger; Tyler Swauger; John Haut, III; Brianna Haut; Shawn Michael Jones; Ricki Jones; Brett Jones; and Maddie Tresky; and sisters, Samye (Bob) Pinter of Belle Vernon, PA; and Jackie Moore of McKeesport, PA.

Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Carrie’s memory on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
