Margaret Miller, age 85, of Crossville, TN, formerly of McKeesport, PA, died September 6, 2025, at Park West Memorial Hospital. Born September 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Catherine (Magee) Daugherty and the wife of the late George W. Miller.
Margaret was primarily a homemaker, dedicating herself to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. She also held various housekeeping positions over the years. Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, she was always on the go, with a passion for travel and exploration. Margaret found joy in experiencing the world around her, whether it was watching captivating plays, visiting iconic landmarks like the Ark Experience, or marveling at the wonders of aquariums. In her later years, Margaret became a cherished member of the 127 Senior Center of Cumberland County, where she held the endearing title of "Sunshine Lady." Through this role, she uplifted the spirits of others by mailing cards to commemorate special milestones in their lives, spreading sunshine to others.
Margaret is survived by her sons, George Miller, David (Debbie) Miller, and Lawrence "Larry" Miller; daughter-in-law, Donna Miller; sister, Faye Daugherty; grandchildren, Cynthia Stoke, Jennifer Stoke, Danny, Jason Miller, and Erica Sutton; great-grandchildren, Hayle, Gage, Jasmin, Jaden, Alana, Elijah, and Erick; niece, Luann Daugherty; along with many cousins, nephews, and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alberta Harshbarger.
Margaret is reunited in death with her husband, George. "Hey, Dad, look out, here comes boom boom!"
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
