Mary E. Buccini, age 101, of McKeesport, died February 1, 2026, at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Buccini, and her cat, Frisky.
In her youth, Mary spread her wings, moving to New Jersey and the vibrant streets of New York City, where she indulged her deep appreciation for the arts. She thrived in the city's cultural heartbeat, relishing the energy and creativity that surrounded her. Many joyful evenings were spent attending plays and musicals, where the magic of performance and storytelling captured her heart.
A devoted animal lover, Mary's compassion extended beyond her human connections. She dedicated her resources to various animal organizations, embodying her unwavering belief in giving a voice to the voiceless. Her home was always filled with the love of her feline companions, whom she cherished dearly.
In quieter moments, Mary found solace in the lively discourse of conservative talk radio, often tuning in nightly to engage with the ideas and voices that inspired her. A passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she took immense pride in supporting her team and Coach Mike Tomlin, bringing her spirit to life at every game.
