John Ryaby III, 78, of Penn Township, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 31, 1947, in McKeesport, a son of the late John and Johanna (Zaken) Ryaby. Prior to his retirement in 2013, he was a Process Engineer for Westinghouse Electric and Emerson Electric. He was a member of the Air National Guard, a member of Community Methodist Church in Irwin, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was a steady and supportive husband, a hardworking father who valued teaching by example, and a proud grandfather who found great joy in his family. John is survived by his beloved wife, Judy (Greenewald) Ryaby; daughters, Dana (Robbie) Jacobs and Kerri (Marko) Thomas; and grandchildren, Robbie, Johnny, Nathan, and Kallie Jacobs, and Landon, Jaxon, Nolan, and Devin Thomas. He is also survived by his siblings, Florence Kunder, Richard Ryaby, and Madeline Ryaby. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Johanna Grandon, Barbara D’Alessandro, and Madonna Jaimes.
