Jacqueline Loraine Lanning, age 79, of Dravosburg, PA, died on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 7, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Gloria Doerr Smith. She was the wife of the late Gary “Pappy” Lanning, who died on October 29, 2011.
Jacqueline is survived by her son, Gary (Gina) Lanning of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Dustin Lanning of Pittsburgh, PA; and Camryn Lanning of Columbus, OH; lifelong friend, Regina Lucky of Dravosburg, PA; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and close friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline is preceded in death by her brother, Frank “Hoppy” Smith.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Jacqueline’s memory on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of Dravosburg/West Mifflin, Inc., 740 Pittsburgh McKeesport Blvd., Dravosburg, PA 15034 (412-678-6192). Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at Richland Cemetery.
