 Walter E. Detman, age 87, of McKeesport, died March 19, 2026, at UPMC East. Born August 3, 1938, in McKeesport, he was the son of Benjamin and Francis (Moffett) Detman and husband of Jacquelyn (Hughes) Detman. Walter was known for his commitment to his community. As a self-employed brick contractor, he was respected for his work ethic and expertise. Beyond his professional life, he dedicated countless hours to serving as a volunteer firefighter with Lincoln Borough, embodying the spirit of service and bravery. An outdoorsman, Walter enjoyed hunting and spending time in nature. He was a proud member of the Clairton Anglers Club, where he could often be seen cruising on his golf cart with friends.

In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by daughters, Kim Detman-Sawyer, Suzanne Rohrbacher, and Nicole (DJ) Jackson; sons, Larry Detman, and Pat (Lori Hayes) Detman; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.  Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
