David William Ross, age 80, of McKeesport, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Waynesburg Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in McKeesport, PA, on March 7, 1946, and was the son of the late John H. and Dorothy M. Wool Ross. He enjoyed listening to the radio, spending time at Renziehausen Park, playing board games, bicycling, playing with Lionel trains, and in the earlier days going fishing on Tuesdays in the summer with Keith, Jeff, Todd, and his dad.
David is survived by his brother, Donald (the late Gail) Ross of North Huntingdon, PA; nieces and nephews, Lynn (Trace) Niemi of Smithfield, VA; Jeff (Denise) Ross of North Huntingdon, PA; Todd (Terri) Ross of White Oak, PA; John (Tori) Ross of Castle Shannon, PA; Keith (Patty) Ross of Bethel Park, PA; Rebecca (John) Skrabski of Hickory, PA; Robb (Jennifer) Ross of North Huntingdon, PA; and Christy (the late David) Grecco of Venetia, PA; and great-nieces; great-nephews; and cousins.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brothers, John “Jack” (the late Evelyn) Ross; and Norman (the late Fern) Ross; and nephew, Gregory Ross.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Waynesburg Nursing and Rehabilitation for the excellent care that was provided for David.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor David’s memory on Friday, April 24, 2026, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A burial will take place at Saint Mary German Cemetery in McKeesport, PA.
