Michael W. “Bill” Egenlauf, Sr. age 72, of McKeesport, born February 24, 1945, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

.  He was the son of the late Lucille and Herman Egenlauf, and late brother-in-law of  Edward R. Bielic.  He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, who will greatly miss him; devoted sons, George Sokolowski and Michael Egenlauf, Jr. (fiancé Dawn Kovack); cherished grandchildren, Michael and Carly Sokolowski; niece, Brittany and nephew Edward Bielic; best friend, Roger Blake and adored pet Tiger, his cat.  He had a walk on role in the Vietnam War, a starring role in the greatest love story ever told, and a starring role in the longest running family drama ever as the loving strong father and husband.   He was a member of Corpus Christi Church, life member and First Vice Commander of AMVETS Post 8, and a retiree of Mayview State Hospital.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church at 10 a.m.  Fr. Steven Palsa will officiate.  Interment and military honors will follow at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.  Condolences may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com
