Francis M. McDonald, age 95 of N. Versailles, died May 7, 2017.

He was born in Braddock on January 8, 1922, son of the late Albert and Cecelia Brunner McDonald. Francis served in the U.S. Marines at Iwo Jima during WWII. He worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Miller McDonald; sons, Francis and Cyril McDonald; siblings, Kenneth, Laverne and Florence.  He is survived by three daughters; Cecelia (the late Roger) Boulet of Rillton, Madelyn (the late Ronald) Thomas of N. Versailles, Madonna (the late Walter) Adams of N. Versailles, and son Gregory (Donna) McDonald of N. Huntingdon; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 9th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) where a blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10 am with Rev.
