Benjamin John Boswell, age 62 of Port Vue, died May 30, 2017 at West Penn Hospital.

Born August 26, 1954 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Pauline Ruth (Carter) Boswell, and loving companion of Patricia Humenik for 17 years. Benjamin honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Most recently he was employed by CCAC as a floor technician for more than 20 years. He had a loving nature to him and everyone he met enjoyed being in his company. Ben had a unique sense of humor and his elaborate story telling will be missed by many. In addition to Patricia, he is survived by his children, Benjamin Jr., Geraldine, Margaret, Robert, Belinda, Ebony and Isaiah Boswell, and John and Sandra Humenik; brother, James “Jimmy” Boswell; sister, Essyie Lawrence; many loving grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Manny. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Boswell. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
