John H. Hobaugh Jr., 77, of North Irwin, died at home Wednesday February 17, 2016. He was born November 21, 1938 in Galeton, Potter County, a son of the late John H. and Deloris L. (Roberts) Hobaugh. John was a retired employee of Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding, and also a former employee of Pittsburgh Corning, Plum. He was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Irwin and enjoyed music especially classical and classic country.

He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Carol L. (Staley) Hobaugh; nine children, Donald L (Kristine) Hobaugh of Ligonier, Kimberly B. (Emil “Yogi”) Stepanik of North Irwin, Tammy L. Hobaugh, Carrie L. Sant of North Versailles, Todd M. Hobaugh of North Huntingdon, Joyce A. Hobaugh of Greensburg, Richard B. (Trisha) Hobaugh of South Greensburg, Jon A. Hobaugh of South Carolina, and Bobbi Jo Hobaugh of New Stanton; twenty four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Joann Zorzi of Smithton.
