Anne K. (Vukovich) (Kerklo) Wittress, age 101 of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Port Vue, died February 18, 2016 in Florida. Born February 8, 1915 in Penobscot, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Evanovich) Vukovich and wife of the late William Wittress and Frank Kerklo. Anne loved to read. Sometimes she would read up to 3 newspapers a day and even reread them. She worked at a tin plate mill when she was younger and was an original Rosie Riveter. Later she would go on to work for Zotter’s Bakery.

She is survived by grandchildren, Donnajo (Michael) Couch, of Dravosburg and Dean Kerklo, of Ligonier; great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Kellie Couch; daughter-in-law, Lavina Kerklo and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald C. Kerklo; great-granddaughter, Carlie Kerklo and brothers, John, Milo, Joseph, and Frank Vukovich. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, February 22nd from 2-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel.
