Donald H. Baker, age 74, of McKeesport, formerly of Lower Burrell, died and walked into the smiling open arms of Jesus on August 19, 2017, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

Born January 7, 1943, in Tarentum, PA, he was the son of the late Howard and Constance (Sims) Baker. Don was a retired architect and home designer. He was also an accomplished musician, song writer, poet, gardener, historian and taxidermist. He was a genteel, loving and caring person who helped others in need. His deep faith and strength was inspirational to those around him. His daily struggles with all the complications of diabetes were met with courage and dignity. Through it all he kept his wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his 3 daughters Wendy (Rick) McAndrew, Kimberly Baker and JoLynn (Jim) Seagriff; siblings, Doreen (Bill) Dailey and Ralph (Vicky) Baker; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; niece; and his devoted friend and caregiver of 19 years, Stephanie Diffendal. He will be sadly missed by everyone that he so lovingly touched. In addition to his parents and wife Carol (McArdle) Baker, Don was preceded in death by his son Russell Baker; grandaughter, Carolyn Roudebush; grandson Collin Seagriff.
